AdiosAmigo Chihuahua Breeding Kennel is situated some 40km from Durban, in the green hills of Hillcrest, KwaZulu-Natal.

I breed Smooth and the occasional Long coat Chihuahuas of various colours. My breeding facilities are of the highest standard. The accommodation, feeding and facilities are environmentally friendly in every respect.

The kennels are open for your inspection at any reasonable time.

All puppies are bred from Kennel Union of South Africa registered stock and are themselves registered with the same kennel union and micro chipped. All puppies, at various stages from birth are, dewormed, inoculated and handed to you with the puppy’s history book.

A Chihuahua is a truly wonderful breed of toy dog, and an ideal pet and companion for the home, who in return for your care will give you unconditional love, loyalty and companionship.

Houses 6, 7 and 8.

Houses, if necessary, are fan heated for winter and fan cooled in summer.

All dogs have free run during the day of full garden area which is fully fenced with 1.8m high solid wooden fence and gated-bitches in season are confined for that period in their breeding houses.

A 50% deposit is required for a puppy booking and puppies are not retained after a 24 hour booking period without full payment of the deposit. Full selling price is R7000.00 per puppy, male or female.

The re-homing/selling price of a puppy is inclusive of the following:

A. Full kennel union of South Africa registration (this is not optional) and certificate.

B. Micro-chipping of puppy with registration document.

C. Vaccination record card for a 12 month completed period and ongoing record card and showing all other medical applications. EXAMPLE SHOWN.

D. Puppy blanket, micro-chip disk, dog collar, metal name tag.

E. Companion toy.

F. Four various puppy toys.

G. Fresh puppy food to go home with (water/bottle, puppy nappy).

H. Various puppy cubes.

I. Various puppy snack biscuits.

J. Plastic carry bag for all.

K. Our puppies are inspected by our veterinarian at 6 weeks of age when they are taken for the first set of vaccinations. Any that do not pass are not re-homed or sold.

Availability of Puppies

In general, puppies are available all year round. However, a list is kept of all people who telephone or email wanting to purchase puppies.

When a litter is born, photographs or videos are sent to all those that have enquired about puppies to purchase.

Most people select the puppy they want from the video. The puppy would be ready to be re-homed at 12 weeks of age from birth. Most puppies are sold in this manner. However, you are invited to visit our breeding facility in “real time” when you select your puppy.

We would be able to tell you when litters are due, the expected date of birth and who the mother and father is.

The full purchase price of the puppy must be paid at least three days prior to the puppy being collected from the breeding facility.

Our two radio system operates throughout the breeding facility to maintain contact with the owner, manager, receptionist, breeding stock, litters, cleaners and exercise staff. As well our CCTV camera installation. A total of four portable two way radio’s are utilized. The complete breeding facility is surveyed by 48 close circuit televesion cameras of which 24 are inside and 24 are outside and within the breeding facility including whelping rooms. The full breeding facility is monitored on six CCTV monitors.
